John Woerdehoff - Heavy Equipment Maintenance

Since 2020, John Woerdehoff has served as an industrial service technician at CR Conveying in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he installs, maintains, dismantles, and repairs heavy machinery. John Woerdehoff reads technical drawings, performs preventive and corrective maintenance, and uses certified rigging practices to position industrial equipment.

Mr. Woerdehoff supports work involving production lines, AC and DC motors, conveyors, and other mechanical systems. His responsibilities also include aligning gears, shafts, and pulleys with precision measurement tools, as well as fabricating metal components when replacement parts are unavailable. In addition, he coordinates job site equipment and project schedules. Mr. Woerdehoff holds certifications in crane operation, rigging, OSHA safety, and first aid, CPR, and AED.

Before joining CR Conveying, Mr. Woerdehoff worked as a service technician for JW Bell, repairing crushers, conveyors, screening plants, and related industrial machinery. Earlier, he was an engineering service technician with Jet Company, where he created CAD models and manufacturing drawings and supported structural analyses for equipment components.

He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from York Technical College and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice administration from Waldorf University. In addition, Mr. Woerdehoff earned an associate degree in aerospace maintenance.
